My guest Writer Lisa Martens joins us all the way from Costa Rica! I want to thank Yolande Brener for introducing us. We discuss Lisa’s Novel: Like It Never Happened a humorous yet insightful exploration of generational trauma. Lisa has become an expert in family dynamics, drawing from some personal experiences while also crafting the fictional journey of Alice as she navigates a complex web of relationships. The novel delves into Alice's internal world as well as her external family, all striving to understand their place in the world. I was particularly drawn to Lisa's humorous approach to storytelling. She demonstrates how family can be a powerful trigger, and how creativity can help us untangle the complexities of life and gain self-discovery.
