Creative Engagement William Jaquet Musician Singer Songwriter

I found myself at a retreat in Devon, in the UK seated at a long table next to a wonderful singer songwriter William Jaquet, I knew I should invite him to be on this program right away. William is a very warm and friendly presence and on this rainy storm night we found a relatively quiet space to capture this conversation. I had heard William play in the evening the night before without knowing until later that he’s been a part of the band Luvcat on tour, and that he’s been writing and recording with his own band Big Society. Just hearing William’s beautiful voice with an acoustic guitar was quite a rich experience, I knew there must be a wonderful story lurking in there somewhere. I always end my interviews with words of encouragement from my guests and thankfully William allowed me to tease him a bit, because as you will hear I needed to hold his feet to the fire to get him to look beyond the grind of getting to a really well written song and to think of the miracles and benefits of investing in creativity. To me this speaks to his devotion to holding himself accountable and wanting to keep the bar as high as possible.
